• President of the Board of the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) from 1993 to 1999
• Professor of Telecommunications, Environmental and Water Laws at Saint-Joseph University since 1984
• Awards by the 'Académie Française' in 2002 and 2009
• Author of many legal and social books
• Participated in many International Seminars and Conferences among which the Earth Summit Conference of Rio de Janeiro in 1992
• Legal advisor on different projects to the FAO, UNDP, World Bank, ESCWA, ILO, WHO and European Union
